
Lynda Carter is gearing up for another Billboard blockbuster in "Crazy Little Things."Her first album, "At Last," rang up at #8 on Billboard shortly after its release last season. A potpourri of a dozen memorable hits from the Great American Songbook, it tantalizes and reverberates with lush melodies and imaginative arrangements. She will follow it shortly with a second album incorporating some of the numbers featured in her latest cabaret show, "Crazy Little Things.""The title comes from my sense of humor," she said, as we chatted before her recent concert at the Kennedy Center. "I love variation so I chose music from different genres. 'Locomotion' is one of my favorites in the program. It's not done the old way, but in a slow groove with a back beat. I have a very different take on Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together,' as well as on 'Up On The Roof,' and I add a country touch with Patsy Cline's 'Walkin' After Midnight.'"Carter is quick to explain that these songs are not covers but are re-imagined and framed in different contexts.
